"To create one's own world takes courage." -- Georgia O'Keeffe
When asked "what do you paint?", I'm usually at a loss for words and typically say I paint tiny squares on canvas. And I do... to create large visual stories that evoke a visceral response. I paint movement with vibrant colors to reimagine worlds, and use mirror to capture and throw light.

"Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and torment" -- Claude Monet
Painting is my yoga...
...I never set out to be 'a painter' or even 'an artist'… I spent a year in Philadelphia, living a few doors over from the celebrated and controversial artist Isaiah Zagar. His artistic odyssey is an amazing story. His murals are stirring, whimsical, and often cheekily sexual.
My own apartment was in one of those now-highly-photographed glittery buildings and I wanted to bring the color and movement indoors. I needed a lightweight solution because many east coast apartment walls cannot hold the weight of a real pottery-and-mirror mosaic; but of course, mirror was essential to capture the glittery essence of the art form. What started as a playful exploration of oil and mirror, grew into an essential part of my own artistic expression.
