Serenity (or, the White Peacock)
I confess… I loved every moment of this one.
Inspired by a Japanese painting and a frolfing (frisbee golf) course in Oregon (home to a white peacock), this canvas sparked my interest in the geometry and movement of feathers. I finished the peacock June 2014, and it became the first in a bird series. By 2016, the bird series grew to include flamingos, hummingbirds, a snowy owl, another peacock, and I recently finished a canvas design for an eagle.
The peacock revitalized my commitment to art, and reminded me why I love painting.
