"Salt" 36x60, oil, mirror, acrylic, and resin on canvas
A bit of a departure from my usual, but such a long history with this one. The textures of 'Lot's Wife,' the inspiration of Malta's salt pans, the gorgeous ever-changing blues of the sea... and my continuing exploration in the world of resin art. A friend stopped by while I was working on it and inspired the splash finish (which can really only be seen in person, unfortunately the camera doesn't capture it). But she is finally finished and every time I walk by this piece, my breath catches.
